Come and help us minister to others and serve our community.
Our Mission is to go out on the streets to provide food and clothing, and to preach salvation, and to pray for the needs of the homeless and those who are less fortunate.
Luke 14:23 (AMPC)
23 Then the master said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and urge and constrain [them] to yield and come in, so that my house may be filled.
Reminder: Cover the teams in prayer.
The following is what we read on Sunday. We were encouraged to read this scripture often to keep it fresh in our minds.
The Church is to preach the Gospel and to reach the lost. Living Acts Church was founded on Romans 15:17-19 NLT which outlines the three areas that are necessary in order to accomplish that commission.
I added my notes that expands on how we will focus the teaching, ministry, and outreach of Living Acts Church to accomplish the Great Commission.
Romans 15:17-19 NLT
vs17 So it is right for me to be enthusiastic about all Christ Jesus has done through me in my service to God.
#4 vs18 I dare not boast of anything else. I have brought the Gentiles to God
#1 by my message
#2 and by the way I lived before them.
#3 vs19 I have won them over by the miracles done through me as signs from God
— ALL by the power of God’s Spirit.
#4 In this way, I have fully presented the Good News of Christ all the way from Jerusalem clear over into Illyricum.
1st value – The Authority of the Word of God
“By my message”
We will not compromise the authority of the Bible.
We will strive to uphold sound doctrine – contending for the faith.
We will be students of God’s Word.
2nd value – The Manifestation of the Attributes of God
“By the way I lived before them”
We will yield to the HS in order to be empowered to live Godly lives (Holiness)
We will allow the development of Love — the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-25)
We will walk by Faith (not just profess but possess)
— Our talk and walk will line up with God’s Word
3rd value – The Ministry of the Holy Spirit
“By the miracles done through me as signs from God.”
We will learn to be led of the Holy Spirit
— Not leaning on our own understanding
— Yielding to Him – Obedience
We will allow and make room for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:8-11)
“All by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
We will encourage all to be “filled with the Holy Spirit and with power”
— It is vital that we be empowered to accomplish all He has for us to do.
(salvation, healing, deliverance, etc.)
4th value – Passion for Souls – Preaching Christ
“I have brought the Gentiles to God”
God commanded us to make disciples of all nations.
— God wants His children back
–This is God’s passion & heart
Each area is impossible without praying people who are seeking a genuine relationship with God.

Below is a Bio on Vanessa
Evangelist Vanessa Rankins
God’s Heritage Full Gospel Ministries
Evangelist Vanessa Smith-Rankins was born to R.B and Janet Smith in the small town of Dumas Arkansas and is the second born of 11 children.
Vanessa’s formative years were spent on a farm in rural Arkansas with her grandparents Dave and Mae Frances Campbell. Vanessa moved to Chicago at age 13 where her parents and 8 other siblings resided. Currently Vanessa and her husband Jerry have 5 children together and reside in Maywood, Illinois.
Church in general has always been a part of Vanessa’s life as her grandfather was Sunday School Superintendent. Vanessa was 12 years old when she accepted the Lord as personal savior and was baptized with the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1990. Vanessa was ordained as an Evangelist in 1993 under the Church of God in Christ and has been active ever since, holding various positions (Choir Leader, YPWW leader, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Church Secretary, Women Ministry Leader, Board of Directors, Outreach Director and Pastoral Administrator). She teaches the Word of God with much joy whenever the opportunity arises. She is currently an active member and Evangelist of God’s Heritage Full Gospel Ministries under the leadership of Pastor James C. Williams, Sr. in Maywood, Illinois.
One of Vanessa’s favorite scriptures is Psalms 116:12 – “What shall I render unto God for all your benefits towards me”. Vanessa has a fervent passion for “giving back” – especially praise unto God. For this reason, she entered the real estate business as a catalyst for working with people who wanted to achieve homeownership but was uninformed and unacquainted with the whole process.
Vanessa has formed great alliances with the leadership in her community. Her objective is to educate, inform, teach, and preach the kingdom of God. She endeavors to be ready to always give an answer to every man that asks her a reason of the hope that is in her with meekness and fear.
1 Peter 4:11 is to speak, as the oracles of God; minister, as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever.

JEFF WARNER & ULTIMATE STRENGTH
Jeff Warner is a living story of child abuse and poverty. He overcame adversity to become a professional boxer and wrestler; and achieved the “American Dream” at the age of 20. Despite his financial success he had no purpose. He tried to fulfill his emptiness with the high of drugs and alcohol. This only clouded his vision more and created false promises. Eventually Jeff lost his identity and his boxing career. He was left with no other choice but to move home to Minnesota. On the verge of ending his life, Jeff was introduced to Jesus Christ by Jennifer Bronson.
Jennifer later became Jeff’s wife and the two have been married for 20 years and have four boys of their own.
As a family, the Warner’s are dedicated to their father’s biggest fight of his life against the worldly evils that tempt and destroy millions of lives throughout the world. Jeff speaks with compassion about his conversion with a message of HOPE, RESTORATION, and REDEMPTION.
SERV – PABLO GAMEZ
“I’ve always felt comfortable around youth ministry. When I was saved, I naturally wanted to get involved. At the same time, I prayed and sought God continually for my specific role. As I grew in my walk, so did my heart for the teens. In my teenage years I was exposed to an abundance of music. During my experiences growing up, I witnessed the great effect it had. After I began my relationship with the Lord, I gave up music as a god in my life. Over time I just knew without a doubt, that music would be my tool to reach the youth of today.
With a right heart and renewed mind, I began.
I use music, mostly Hip Hop (Rap), to present the gospel. These songs have lyrics that are filled with the Word of God, personal testimony, and encouragement to know and share Christ. My heart is to see young people rise up with such boldness and excitement that they can’t help but share their faith.
I don’t aim to conform to the world but to set a standard in the presentation of the gospel musically.
I have two main purposes for this ministry:
* To bring the good news of the gospel to the lost in an interesting and unique format.
* To teach and encourage the church to do the same. To be stirred up and go out to be a bold witness for Christ.”
